The Smudge Vow program ran through the Calgary Aboriginal Friendship Centre supports Indigenous people who’ve been involved in the criminal justice system, past or present.
CJWE reporter Keith Driver spoke with Freda Laliberte, a Justice Coordinator with the Calgary Aboriginal Friendship Centre, to hear a little bit more about the program.
The program works through referrals from either a parole or probational officer. Those who have history with the criminal justice system can also self referral by either calling 587-579-3503 or emailing flaliberte@afccalgary.org.
