Since 2018 the Calgary Stampede hosts a Youth Poster Competition 15 to 24-years-of-old to choose the poster for each Stampede for the past seven years.
The 2025 Calgary Stampede poster was created by 22-year-old Calgarian Elora Kiddle with her submission titled Grit to Greatness.
“For me, the 2025 Stampede Poster is about the journey from grit to greatness. Just like the Stampede grew from dust into The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, creating this piece meant pushing through challenges.” expressed Elora when asked about her poster.
Grit to Greatness features an acrylic painting of Barrel Racer Kellie Jorgensen and her horse Salty turning around a barrel during the 2021 Stampede Rodeo.
Along with being chosen for the 2025 stampede poster, Elora is also the recipient of both The Dustin Peers Memorial and Brandon Flock Foundation Scholarships to help her pursue her studies in art.
These scholarships are awarded to the top eight contestants of the competition and together total to $20,000 dollars making the Youth Poster Competition one of the largest art scholarships in the country.
Elora’s poster along with the past six winners of competition will be available to be seen in person at the Sam Centre by the Stampede Grounds.
