Get into the Festive Spirit with the Market Collective Holiday Choir

By Sarah Scott Nov 12, 2025 | 3:56 PM

Get into the festive spirit and share the joy of the season by lending your voice to the Market Collective Holiday Choir!

Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to belt out carols in the shower, everyone is welcome. You will be performing classic holiday favourites (and a few new ones!) at the market to spread cheer and create magical moments for the patrons and vendors.

It’s a great way to meet new people, make memories, and be part of something super special this season.  Join the chorus – no audition required, just enthusiasm, holiday spirit and a signed form!

Jesse Shire, the Market Collective Holiday Choir Director, joined CJWE in studio to tell us more on how you can sing your heart out for the holidays:

More about Market Collective: Market Collective is all about celebrating Calgary’s creative community! They’re here to showcase the amazing work of local artists, makers, designers, and musicians and to bring people together through art, music, and good vibes. Their goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, inclusive, and fun for everyone, no matter your age or background. They love teaming up with other local organizations to keep building that sense of community and support that makes Calgary shine. At the end of the day, it all comes back to what they’ve believed in from the start: bringing people together and building community through the arts.

More about Jesse: Jesse brings 20+ years of performance, production, and songwriting experience (and the best vibe). He’ll guide everyone through a few fun rehearsals and get us ready for the show. – Courtesy of MC Website.
