Sanare Centre is on the hunt for a hero and this one has a collar, four paws, soft cuddly fur, slobbery kisses, a wagging tail, and a talent for making hard days a little easier.
The Superhero Search has officially kicked off, with a goal to raise $25,000 to bring a full-time facility dog to Medicine Hat. This isn’t your average pup. A facility dog is a highly trained partner who shows up in the moments that matter most. Whether it’s to comfort kids at the Child Advocacy Centre, supporting survivors in therapy, and even accompanying victims through the stress of a court case, the dog will be their every step of their healing journey.
It’s incredible how much strength one dog can offer.
If you want to help bring this furry hero home, now’s the perfect time to jump in. Sanare Centre Executive Director, Christina Johnson joined CJWE to tell us more about this community campaign.
Every donation (big or small!) moves them one step closer to adding an amazing new member to the community.
