A fire station near Cremona recently was broken into, and had several pieces of equipment stolen.
At roughly 3:50 a.m. on November 24, the Water Valley Fire Station was broken into, and several specialized rescue tools were stolen.
The stolen items include Genesis shears, spreaders, a ram, and a Halligan pry bar.
The tools are serialized and have been reported to the RCMP, along with their appropriate registries.
If anyone comes across the stolen equipment or come across any equipment that may be stolen, the Water Valley Fire Station encourages contacting the Didsbury RCMP (non-emergency line) at 403-335-3382.
By recovering the stolen tools, it ensures the Water Valley Station Emergency Services personnel will be properly equipped to respond quickly and support the community.
While they are trying to recover the stolen tools, the Water Valley Fire Station is taking measures to ensure the department is outfitted appropriately.
