CJWE was at the Kainai Marketplace for the 6th Annual Fill the Cruiser Event

CJWE was onsite at the Kainai Marketplace in Standoff for the 6th Annual Fill the Cruiser Food Drive.

They were collecting non-perishable food and monetary food donations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, December 1, and we were onsite helping.

Originally, the Food Drive was scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, but was rescheduled to Monday, December 1 due to the weather southern Alberta saw on Friday.

The donations are going to the Kainai Food Bank Society to help out during the holiday season.

The Blood Tribe Police Service took to Facebook to thank those who came and made a donation.

“Your generosity and kindness will directly help families in our community this holiday season. Thanks to your donations of non-perishable food items and essential supplies, we are able to continue supporting the Kainai Food Bank Society and uplift those who need it most,” the post read.
