Calgary Stampede to launch its first Christmas event

Stampede fans can change their cowboy boots for winter boots as the Calgary Stampede is putting on a free festive event.

Julie Forget, Manager of Communications and Media Relations at the Calgary Stampede, tells CJWE the weekends will be full of holiday entertainment.

Saturday’s events will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday’s events will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Forget emphasized how the stampede has always been about the community and bringing people together.

Forget mentioned the festivities are free to attend, but they will be collecting donations for Magic of Christmas.
