Eden Wilson, 28, is being inducted into the North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame.
The Metis, biracial brake woman has been competing on the Canada Bobsleigh Team for about six years now.
She also works full-time at KidSport, trying to reduce barriers and increase representation in sport.
More about Eden Wilson:
Originally from Brandon, Manitoba, Eden’s path to bobsleigh is anything but traditional. After spending two decades in competitive show jumping, she entered the sport as a brakeman before moving into the pilot seat, earning an overall win on the 2021 North American Cup circuit. She has since returned to the brakes as she continues her push toward the 2026 Olympic Games on the World Cup circuit.
Eden holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and is known for bringing positivity and energy to everything she does. As an Indigenous and Black athlete, she hopes to help increase diversity and inclusivity in the sport.
Outside of bobsleigh, Eden enjoys spending time with her horses and watching comedies.
