Tsuut’ina Nation Police release statement on Nathan Chasing Horse

Tsuut’ina Nation Police still has a warrant for Nathan Chasing Horse in their jurisdiction.

Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service have released a statement on the conviction of Nathan Chasing Horse.

The Tsuut’ina Nation Police acknowledge the 13 convictions of Nathan Chasing Horse in Las Vegas, Nevada, and state that this verdict is a significant step towards justice for the survivors, as well as a testament to their courage.

Nathan Chasing Horse was in Dancing With Wolves, and has been convicted of sexually assaulting Indigenous women and girls.

“We wish to recognize and commend all of the survivors who have come forward, as well as those who continue to do so,” the Tsuut’ina Nation Police said in the statement. “Your bravery in sharing your stories is vital in holding individuals accountable and ensuring the safety of our communities.”

The Tsuut’ina Nation Police also confirm that a warrant for Nathan Chasing Horse remains outstanding for their jurisdiction, and they are monitoring the events taking place in the U.S., as well as being in contact with the Alberta Crown Prosecutors Office regarding this warrant.
