Medicine Hat College will be hosting the 4th Annual Omahksipiitaa Big Eagle Round Dance on Saturday, March 14. The event will start with a pipe ceremony at 11:00 a.m., followed by the round dance in the gym at 6:00 p.m.
Warren One Gun, the Emcee of the dance, tells CJWE that the round dance symbolizes unity and healing.
One Gun also mentioned that the round dance offers the city of Medicine Hat an opportunity to learn more about Blackfoot culture.
