The city of Calgary is once again offering free compost to citizens to help improve garden growth. This will be the eighth year the city has done it.
Natalia Gonzalez, Waste Diversion Specialist for the city, tells CJWE that people could start booking online to pick up compost as early as Tuesday, March 31.
Gonzalez also mentioned that compost will be available for pick-up from April 13 to May 30 at the Shepard landfill in the south and the Spyhill landfill in the north. Each household is limited to 100 litres of compost.
