New Baseball Diamond in the Works to Support Strathmore’s Rising Player Numbers

A new baseball diamond is being constructed in the Cairnhill area and is set to be completed for the 2027 baseball season.

Jeremy Thompson, Vice President of Strathmore Minor Baseball, tells CJWE that there is currently a diamond in the area, but it is too small for most leagues to use.

Thompson mentioned that Strathmore has six diamonds in total, but only two of them are community fields. He also noted an increase in registrations over the past few years, and having an additional field that accommodates all skill levels will enable more players to enjoy the game.
