The YMCA of Southeastern Alberta has launched its YMCA Y Connect Campaign in Medicine Hat. The campaign is a fundraising initiative to help raise funds, so individuals are not turned away from the YMCA due to financial struggles. The fundraiser will run until June 30.
Linda Tooth, Manager of Philanthropy and Volunteer Engagement at the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta, tells CJWE that the money raised will help offset the costs of people’s memberships.
Tooth added that the program used to be called Strong Kids, which was their big fundraiser throughout the year, but they have recently rebranded.
