The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition, taking place August 27–30, 2026 is inviting you to High River, AB. for this year’s event!
Preserving Traditional Canadian Fiddling since 1989, they’re bringing the best of the best to the west.
They are looking forward to welcoming hundreds of attendees of all ages from all parts of Canada to the town to celebrate Canada’s rich fiddling heritage and experience some western hospitality.
CJWE had a chance to speak with Randy Jones and Barb Haney, from High River and Co-chairs of the Alberta Committee to tell us more about the schedule, styles and sweet sounds you will hear over that exciting championship weekend:
The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition will be held at the Highwood Centre at 128 5 Ave SW, High River, AB T1V1M3.
The Praire Kitchen Party will be held on Aug 30 at 1pm at George Lane Memorial Park as a part of Bandstand Sundays with the High River Performing Arts Foundation.
