Diamond Valley Fire Rescue responded to a pair of fires last week.
The Diamond Valley Fire Rescue had a couple busy days, which saw homeowners and neighbours helping to put out a pair of fires.
At roughly 3:30 p.m. on April 21, Diamond Valley Fire Rescue had responded to a report of a structure fire in the 600 block of 3rd Street SW.
Once on scene, fire crews found that neighbours and off duty firefighters were working to help extinguish and outdoor fire that had extended to the deck, siding, and roof line of the home.
Fire damage was contained to the exterior of the building and an outdoor deck.
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Diamond Valley Fire Rescue responded to this call with a Duty Chief, Fire Chief, Ladder 3, Rescue 3, Engine 2, and 15 firefighters.
Then, at roughly 10:30 p.m. on April 26, Diamond Valley Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Decalta Road SE.
Once on scene, crews found that the homeowners were actively trying to extinguish the fire that involved waste receptacles, a fence, and a greenhouse.
Crews fully extinguished and overhauled the fire, and damage was limited to the greenhouse, fence, and waste bins.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no injuries.
Diamond Valley Fire Rescue responded to this fire with a Duty Chief, Engine 2, Squad 2, and 12 firefighters.
