Gas prices in Calgary have got up, drastically, overnight.

Drivers woke up to see a hike in the prices at the gas pump this morning.

Gas prices in Calgary went up by roughly 35 cents per litre more than they were on Tuesday, jumping up to 185.9 or more around the city.

According to the gas price map on GasBuddy.com, there is a gas station in the west end of Calgary that is sitting at 220.9 cents per litre.

This increase follows the Federal government suspending the federal fuel excise tax, which was implemented earlier in April.

There are numerous reports stating that the rise in gas prices is being caused by the conflict in Iran.
