Head Smashed in Buffalo jump will be the weekly home to an event called Drumming and Dancing on the Plaza starting in July, all the way through until August.

This event will feature top Indigenous dancers from across the country, including singers. Attendees will be able to take in the dancing, meet a Blackfoot Elder, and take photos with performers.

We spoke with Quinton Crow Shoe, member of the marketing and events team about the events history.

CJWE asked Quinton about the role of the Blackfoot Elder.

Quinton told us about how they get so many top-level performers.

Drumming and Dancing on the Plaza is a free event, and will start at 11am and 1:30pm. More info can be found here.
