By Jackson Fontaine May 12, 2026 | 1:33 PM

The Okotoks Film Festival will take place from June 4-13. This 10-day event features films, workshops, and galas organized by the Okotoks Film Society.

Katie Fournell, Festival Director for the event, tells CJWE that people will see some films making their first premiere.

The festival will conclude with a 48-hour challenge, where teams will receive a specific genre, a piece of pop culture, and a line of dialogue. They will then have 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit their films. The challenge will officially start on May 15 at 6:00 p.m.
