The Calgary Stampeders hosted their annual FanFest, an event where attendees got to take the turf at McMahon Stadium for a swath of different activities and events.
Firstly was the pre-event, the fun that people got to experience before even entering. Attendees were greeted with free breakfast and live music in the parking lot before FanFest was even scheduled to start!
Once you got in, rows of booths lined the fields with partners and sponsors, as well as MULTIPLE inflatable bounce houses for the assortment of kids and families attending.
There was a spot where you could take photos with the Grey Cup, a spot where people could meet specific players and get stuff signed, as well as the Calgary Stampeders Cheer Squad, both showing off their skills and interacting with fans.
Once the event got going, tons of Stampeders players took the field as well, playing catch with kids, signing autographs and just interacting with their fans.
We got to sit down with Stampeders President Jay McNeil, both about the event and the team.
We asked about Jay’s favorite part of FanFest.
We also talked with Jay about the Stamps, and how he feels about the team heading into their next pre-season match up.
