Blackfoot Confederacy Tribal Council Health Department is seeking participants for a Blackfoot placenta ceremony on June 22, 2026. It will be a cultural gathering designed to honor babies, families, and the sacred Blackfoot teachings surrounding birth and the beginning of life.

The ceremony will bring together Blackfoot families from across the Confederacy to reconnect with traditional teachings, ceremony, and Elder guidance.

Organizers are inviting Blackfoot mothers and families who have retained their baby’s placenta and are interested in participating in a culturally grounded ceremony. The event will support the revitalization and continuation of traditional teachings while creating space for families to strengthen their connection to culture, community, and identity.

Location details will be provided directly to registered participants.
