Driving around south Calgary, drivers might be shocked to see prices starting today upwards of $1.70 per litre at select stations, as escalating tensions in the Middle East continue to rock the global oil prices.
According to analysts, with on-hand supplies trending towards a shortage, prices could continue to climb upwards during the summer season where people are driving most.
Despite the sticker shock, there are still many locations in Calgary well below the $1.75 mark, and across Alberta still has good options for the pump, and here are a few of them as of July 16th, 2026.
