The Kainai First Nation is inviting the community to help celebrate its rich hockey history ahead of the grand opening of the new Twin Rinks on Friday, August 14.
Organizers are looking for photos and memorabilia featuring former local hockey stars, including players like Wacey Rabbit and Marvin Fox, as well as anything highlighting the history of the Golden Chiefs or Braves hockey clubs.
Community members can submit digital photos to CommunitySubmissions@BloodTribe.org or call 403-360-0485 to arrange for items to be picked up.
It’s a chance to help preserve and showcase the stories that have shaped hockey in Kainai for generations.
