Peace in the Park is Back for Another Beautiful Afternoon of Live Music, Hope and Healing in Airdrie

By Sarah Scott Aug 31, 2026 | 1:57 PM

The Thumbs Up Foundation is turning grief into connection. This September, the Airdrie-based foundation is hosting The 5th Annual Peace in the Park on September 19, 2026, bringing people together through fundraising, music, wellness and community connection, all while supporting the Foundation’s vision of a world where suicide is never the outcome.

Peace in the Park is Thumbs Up’s annual free community music festival held outdoors at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie as part of ‘Resiliency Awareness Month’ each September.

The theme: Rockin’ for a Reason.

Peace in the Park brings people together to celebrate and honour healers, helpers, heroes, individuals and organizations that strengthen community well-being and make the world a kinder place. Featuring a full day of live music, health and wellness vendors, food trucks and so much more, this event is meant to raise awareness as well as promote resilience and connection.

CJWE had a chance to speak with a spokesperson, organizer and member of the Thumbs Up Foundation, Steve Gillis more about Peace in the Park:
