Alberta Culture Days is celebrated for the month of September celebrating arts, heritage, events and much more running until September 30, 2026.

And we chatted with our friends from the Aboriginal Friendship Centre in Calgary.

Cultural Coordinator, Alanna Manybears from the organization says, ” Culture is everything and we should celebrate our indigenous heritage on September 23, 2026 from 10am to 5pm to Honor Tradition and Learning, AFCC Bison Ceremony and Harvest at the Gathering Ranch in Strathmore located at 235015 Range Road 253″.

Bison Harvest is a way to connect with the community to have a deep respect, sustainable stewardship, and ancestral knowledge of the land thru a ceremony. You can learn from Elders and Knowledge Keepers about the importance of harvesting and more.

There will be a traditional feast provided at the event.

If you and your family would like to attend, please register by emailing tcurren@afccalgary.org
