airdrieFest is kicking off tomorrow from 11am-4pm, and will be taking place on the city’s Main Street. The event has been going on in some form, since 2010 and draws thousands of Airdrie residents.
The event includes local artisans, businesses and sport groups, meaning there are many ways to celebrate the best of Airdrie. Free entertainment is promised throughout the day, and features shows like the Airdrie Scots Pipes and Drums, Street Magic Ryan Jade, and even the Sideways In show, a 60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock cover band, and will be performing 12-12:45pm, and 1-1:45pm.
Main Street will be closed from Lutheran Church of the Master to just south of ATB Financial between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Southbound drivers can reach the Alberta Health Services Urgent Care Centre at 604 Main St. SE by using Albert St. SE and Centre Ave. E, with detour signs guiding the route. Northbound access to the Urgent Care Centre remains unchanged.
