Organized jointly by Inclusion Lethbridge and the South Region Self Advocacy Network, the walk features free activities and community engagement.

Chelsey Peat, speaking for both organizations, describes the lineup

“There will be a couple of food trucks and display tables. We also have a couple of self-advocates or individuals with disabilities. They’re going to selling some things that they’ve made but all-in-all, it’s free entertainment, free good time. It’s a chance to really learn about disability community and a chance to see self-advocates comfortable enough to be on stage speaking about the important things that matter to them.”

Participants will gather at City Hall at 10 a.m. Friday before making their way to Galt Gardens, where the four-hour celebration continues.
