Officials from Tsuut’ina Nation, Walmart Canada, and Taza Development came together Thursday for a groundbreaking ceremony at Taza Park West.
The Walmart is slated to open next fall, and will be around 140,000 square feet, and includes a full grocery. Officials from Walmart Canada said recruiting for employees for the location will begin in early spring, and will need “hundreds” of employees.
Taza Development also said more retailers in the area are to be announced soon. The location is set to be located near the Tsuut’ina Parkway, near Stoney Trail.
