UPDATE: Amber Alert issued in Alberta for missing Valleyview girl CANCELLED

UPDATE as of 11:45am:

Alberta RCMP say a child reported missing from her home in northwest Alberta has been located safe.

In a statement issued around 11:45 a.m., RCMP said a seven-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted from a residence in Valleyview, Alta. has been safely located by police.

RCMP said the suspect accused in the child’s abduction has been arrested and is in police custody.

The alert issued in the girl’s disappearance has been cancelled.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

An Amber Alert was issued across Alberta on October 5th, 2026, after a seven-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from her home in Valleyview.

Valleyview RCMP say Aspen Wilson was taken from her home and is believed to be with her 28-year-old stepfather Alexander Stone.

Police describe Aspen as four feet tall with a slim build, shoulder-length curly blonde hair and blue eyes.

Stone is described as standing six feet five inches tall and weighing about 185 pound, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Investigators believe the pair may be travelling in a grey 2004 Chevrolet Venture van bearing Alberta licence plate CWY 3459.

RCMP say the vehicle may be headed toward the Slave Lake or Red Deer areas.

RCMP are urging anyone who sees the girl, the suspect or the vehicle not to approach them. Instead, call 911 immediately or contact RCMP at 310-RCMP.
