Drivers traveling along Highway 1 near Bassano were told to prepare for significant delays following a multi-vehicle collision involving four semi-trucks on Thursday morning.
According to RCMP, the massive pile-up occurred roughly three kilometers north of the community, temporarily grinding eastbound traffic to a halt.
Fortunately, emergency responders confirmed that no serious injuries resulted from the incident and none of the trucks involved were carrying hazardous materials, removing the threat of any chemical or environmental danger.
