The Okimaw Awards honor Indigenous Men on November 18th

The Okimaw Awards celebrate and acknowledge Indigenous men throughout Alberta for their contributions in various fields including. Community, Music & Art, Politics, Law Enforcement & Justice, Academics, Language & Culture, Service & Public Safety, Health & Medicine, Youth Mentorship and more! The awards are set to take place November 18th, 2023, Edmonton City Hall from 11:30am-1:30pm. Uncle Trent spoke to the Okimaw Awards founder Janice Randhile about this year’s awards.
