Saturday afternoon’s matinee at the Scotiabank Saddledome featured the fourth annual Every Child Matters Game, a dedication to Indigenous youth empowerment through sport and a celebration of the Blackfoot culture.
The first intermission was highlighted by on-ice traditional Indigenous dancers, while the second intermission featured a round dance on the concourse.
There was also Blackfoot food samplings, including berry soup, Indian tacos, frybread hot dogs, and Indian popcorn.
