Don't miss the Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow, taking place August 20–21, 2025, at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre in Sikóóhkotok—the Blackfoot name for Lethbridge.

This vibrant celebration is a central part of Whoop-Up Days and showcases the strength, beauty, and unity of Siksikaitsitapi. The Pow Wow will feature Grand Entry at Noon each day, and is free to attend until 3 PM, thanks to the support of Gas King. This gathering welcomes all community members, visitors, and partner Nations to experience the heartbeat of Siksikaitsitapi! With over $65,000 in prize payouts, dance contests will include all categories from Tiny Tots to Golden Age, with special Committee and Outgoing Princess Specials. Drum groups will compete for major awards, including a first-place prize of $8,000.

In addition to the Pow Wow, we encourage you to attend the Siksikaitsitapi Princess Pageant on August 19, explore the Indigenous Marketplace (Aug. 20–21), and cheer on riders during the Indian Relay Races (Aug. 21–23). The celebration continues with live music supported by the Blackfoot Confederacy on the Original 16 Stage, August 21 from 6–11 PM.
