The 44th annual Calgary Folk Festival will be returning to Prince’s Island Park from July 27th-July 30th and they announced yet another star studded lineup.
Calgarians will find comfort in their favorite artist while discovering brand new musicians varying in genres and ethnicity. With more than 70 performers across the weekend there will be something for the whole family.
Kerry Clarke is the Artistic and Marketing Director for the Calgary Folk Festival and says the goal of the Folk Festival every year is to provide a safe space for all music fans.
From indie to hip hop to blues, Clarke says there will be an incredible amount of variation at this years event with a great selection of Indigenous artists as well.
In addition to the music, festival goers can try a wide array of different cuisines from across the world, can visit the family fun zone or if they’re looking for a change of pace, can listen to Blackfoot Ghost stories.
