The 2023 Calgary Stampede flipped over a new world record for most pancakes made at the largest outdoor event in the city.
Officials with the Calgary Stampede say that the new record was set on Sunday, July 9, for the most pancakes served in the span of eight hours.
Before the clock reached high noon, volunteers at the Calgary Stampede handed out a total of 17,182 pancakes.
Guinness World Record judge Brittany Dunn was in attendance to verify the record, however she disqualified 15 pancakes from the grand total, but still certified the new world record.
The previous record was beaten by more than 2,900 in around four hours.
