A fire that broke out inside a southwest Calgary strip mall Thursday morning, and a large team of firefighters descended on the scene to fight the blaze.
A passerby called 911 when they saw smoke and fire coming from the strip mall in the 1800 block of Sirocco Drive S.W. at about 2:45 a.m.
Calgary firefighters had knocked down the blaze as of 6 a.m., but crews remained at the scene, to monitor hot spots.
No information was provided on the cause of the fire, but a fire investigator had been called in.
There was no one was injured in the blaze.
