While many Calgarians are sweating and are looking for ways to cool off, the City of Calgary announced that the city will be moving to level two outdoor water restrictions.

Under stage two outdoor water restrictions residents in Calgary can now use sprinklers for an hour on a set schedule by the City once per week.

Even numbered addresses can use sprinklers on either Wednesday or Sunday while odd numbered addresses can use sprinklers on Thursday or Sunday.

If all goes well with inspections and water flow over the weekend from the Bearpaw, City of Calgary is expecting to move restrictions to level one by Monday.

At the morning update Calgary General Manager of Infrastructure Services Michael Thompson explains what needs to happen before the city can move to level one water restrictions.

More information can be found on the City of Calgary’s website.
