As drivers get a taste of the coming winter, drivers in Lethbridge will need to vie themselves more time as City crews manage multiple water main breaks.
These series of water main breaks are affecting key roads in the south of Lethbridge:
- The northbound lanes in the 800 Block of 13 Street South are closed. The water main break has been repaired and paving will take place in the coming days.
- Both directions of 9 Avenue South between 14 Street South and 15 Street South have been closed
- The intersection of 5 Avenue South and 6 Street South has been closed.
Crews have placed detour signs in each of the affected areas and are asking motorists to follow the posted signage and to use caution when driving in these areas.
The City of Lethbridge says Crews are working to repair the breaks as soon as possible and hope to have them all repaired by Friday Nov. 8, weather permitting.
