“Oh the weather outside is frightful…”
With snowfall starting early this morning and forecasted to continue into the afternoon, a high around freezing, and colder temperatures on the weekly forecast, it is fair to say that winter is truly here. However, that does not mean this season needs to be dreadful; here’s three tips and tricks to help ensure your start to the snowy season is a smooth one.
- Give yourself extra time – be it on the daily commute or running errands, be prepared for longer travel times and allow yourself to have wiggle-room between commitments. This will ease your stress and aid in safer travels.
- Layer up! It will be chilly, but Chinooks can change that in moments. Having a couple layers will make it easier to be prepared for our variety of daily temperatures, be it the frigid mornings or the sunny afternoons.
- Embrace the magic of the season – while winter means cold and slushy roads, it also means snowmen and majestic views! Remember to take time to experience the fun seasonal activities of this time of year, from admiring the enchanting layer of frost to ice skating and tobogganing.
We are never too old to enjoy this time of year.
