The University of Lethbridge and Pronghorns Athletics are looking for artists to design a new Blackfoot mark.
According to the University, the goal of the new mark would be to signify strength, resilience and unity, while showcasing both Blackfoot heritage and staying true to the values of the university.
“Incorporating this new mark, grounded in Blackfoot ways of knowing, will serve as a lasting symbol of the university’s commitment to inclusion, cultural respect, community-building and its connection to the land and people it serves,” said Naamoipiiksii (Hummingbird), Shanda Webber, director of Iniskim Indigenous relations.
The chosen design will be showcased on Pronghorns jerseys and merchandise, as well as in digital media and university branding.
Submissions will be accepted until January 31, 2025.
Applicants can submit their designs here.
