Everything is connected, everything has energy, and every action and thought of yours has an impact: either positive or negative.
This was the message from elders leading a free and open workshop about the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, an Indigenous practice in holistic wellness.
Kainai Elder and Board Member of Pokaiks Reconciliation Society Joyce Healy, shares with CJWE how the Medicine Wheel can be used by anyone in daily life:
Marilyn Shingoose, Elder and Knowledge Keeper of Saulteaux First Nation, was also leading the workshop with Joyce Healy.
Those interested in learning more can bring a gift of tobacco, sage, and/or sweet grass to their local Elder or reach out to the Pokaiks Reconciliation Society.
