A collection of personal journals, old newspapers, photographs, sketches, and government records have been brought together to build the latest exhibit at The Confluence.
Titled “Unfamiliar Perspectives: The Northwest Mounted Police and Canada’s Colonial Project,” which officially opened today.
Brought together through collaboration with The Glenbow Museum and the University of Calgary, Kay Burns, the adjunct curator, has many different threads that have been brought together to bring this display to life.
Sharing history on the March West, the Whisky Trade, and Fort Calgary, this exhibit brings new light on the recent past.
Jennifer Thompson, the president of the Confluence Historic Site and Parkland, shares what she is most excited about in this new exhibit:
