The Man Van is back on the road and making a stop in Lethbridge on October 24 from 11 A.M. – 2 P.M., offering free prostate cancer and mental health checks.
Laura Barker, Marketing and Communications Supervisor wit the Prostate Cancer Centre, tells CJWE she’s excited to see the Man Van in southern Alberta, connecting with men right in their own communities.
Barker estimates that between 30 and 40 men will stop by to take advantage of the Man Van’s services, with those aged 40 -70 getting their PSA levels tested.
Barker adds that prostate cancer is the most common cancer amongst men, with one in six expected to be diagnosed on their lifetime.
