Rhythms for Rowan House: A ‘Fun’ Way to Bring Awareness to and Support Family Violence Prevention Month

By Sarah Scott Nov 5, 2025 | 1:35 PM

The Rowan House Society is continuing to make strides to break the cycle of domestic violence and abuse in Southern Alberta. For the last 25 years, the Rowan House Society’s mantra has been to protect individuals and families and strive to prevent domestic violence and abuse before it happens. Today, it remains as steadfast as ever, but they need community support to continue their important and life-changing work.

Are you looking for a ‘fun’ way to help support Family Violence Prevention Month?

This Saturday evening, November 8th, you’re invited to support Rowan House Society at their 3rd Annual Rhythms for Rowan House!

Being held at Big Sky BBQ, you’ll enjoy delicious Big Sky BBQ food, dance to some super talented local live music (Brettyn Rose, Chase Morgan, and Sheep River Bandits), and have fun bidding in the live and silent auctions — all in support of their mission to break the cycle of domestic violence and abuse in our communities.

It’s going to be their biggest one yet, and you’re not going to want to miss it!

Executive Director of Rowan House Society, Linette Soldan, joined us to talk about this fundraiser:

Rhythms for Rowan House: doors open at Big Sky BBQ at 5:30pm, dinner starts at 6:30pm. Tickets are $0-$100 and include dinner, one (1) drink and music all night.
