The spotlight is shining bright in High River as the Windmill Theatre Players (WTP) take on the Broadway classic Chicago!
Chicago is set in the 1920s and follows wannabe stars in the age of jazz who get their fame not just for their singing or dancing, but for committing murders that make sensationalized headlines all across the city of Chicago. And that’s show biz… kid.
The small-town theatre troupe is bringing big-city energy to the stage with all the jazz, drama, crime and (of course) all the razzle-dazzle that’s made the show a timeless hit.
I caught up with Co-Directors Karen and Brooklyn to find out how they’re bringing this bold, iconic Chicago musical to life right here in southern Alberta.
