A fourth teen has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 16-year-old boy in Calgary.
The victim, Carter Spivak-Villeneuve, was found dead on Aug. 1.
Police say a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged Wednesday.
Three other accused, who are all 15, were charged last week with first-degree murder.
Investigators say they are not looking for any more suspects in the case.
At the time of Carter’s death, his family made a public plea for people with information to come forward.
“We are absolutely devastated by the loss of our son Carter. It has left an empty void in many hearts for family and friends,” they said in a statement in August.
“Carter was very caring, giving and loyal. He had a smile that would light up any dark room. He had ambitions that will never come to fruition because his life was cut so short.”
