The winners of a dream home in Calgary are helping to improve women’s health in the city.
The Calgary Health Foundation Hospital Home Lottery announced the winner of their recent grand prize on Thursday, December 4, who won a dream home in the Watermark neighbourhood of Calgary.
According to the grand prize winners, Michael and Lonnie Drapeau, it’s an amazing to win a prize like this.
Michael and Lonnie have been playing this lottery for about 20 years, which has helped the Calgary Health Foundation.
The Calgary Health Foundation Lottery, they direct essential funds to help address the unique health challenges that women face, as well as ensure women receive proper diagnosis, treatment, and care in Southern Alberta.
According to the Drapeau’s, they never thought they were going to win the grand prize.
When they got the call on Thursday (December 4) that they won the grand prize, Michael says it felt like an amazing early Christmas present.
The Drapeau’s currently live in Grande Prairie, but they said they will likely move to this new home, because they have family in the area.
Today, Friday, December 5, was the first time the winners actually saw the home in person, and the Drapeau’s say the home is amazing.
The Drapeau’s say they are still going to keep buying tickets, which helps to support a cause they feel is important.
