Medicine Hat Police are trying to locate two people involved with robbery, assault, and more

The Medicine Hat Police are investigating a robbery and firearms-related incident that occurred in the early morning hours of January 2, 2026.

The incident occurred at a private residence in the southeast area of Medicine Hat.

This was an altercation involving several individuals known to one another, which caused the police respond.

As a result of the incident, multiple occupants of the residence were assaulted, which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries.

On top of weapons being used during the incident, threats were made toward those present.

When the suspects fled the residence, they encountered an officer in a common area of the building.

During the interaction with the officer, a suspect discharged a firearm.

No officers or members of the public were injured, and the firearm was seized by the police.

Now, the Medicine Hat Police Service Major Crime Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants have been issued for 33-year-old Brendon Webb and 31-year-old Brooklyn Carriere in connection with multiple serious Criminal Code offences, which include robbery, assault, and firearms-related charges.

It is believed this incident is targeted, involving those known to one another.
