Banff Avenue roars to life January 17 and 18 at 2 p.m. as SnowDays brings back its adrenaline-charged Skijoring event. Horses, riders, and skiers race downtown with high-speed jumps and daring tricks in a free, family-friendly winter spectacle.

Kristina McDonald, Director of Experience Development and Events with Banff Lake Louise Tourism, tells CJWE the event is a local favourite.

McDonald highlights new viewing areas this year, including a dedicated zone at the high school field for fans to catch the high-flying action.

McDonald says the event’s atmosphere is what makes it special each year, encouraging first-time attendees to check out SkijorStyle, as different fashions are showcased each year.
