The Okotoks and District Fish and Game Association will host a family ice fishing day on February 14 at Chain Lakes Provincial Park. Free hot chocolate, coffee, and $1 hot dogs will be available on the lake.
Mark Anderson, the Volunteer Leader for the event, tells CJWE that families can look forward to pre-drilled holes and fishing mentors available to assist new anglers.
Anderson added that people will need to register before coming, but if registration happens to fill up, people can still come out separately, especially if they have their own gear.
