The Crowsnest Pass will be filled with cowboys and rodeo clowns in the coming weeks.
The Kananaskis Pro Rodeo is happening at the Crowsnest Pass Sports Complex from April 24 to 26.
Joe Trotz, the President of the Kananaskis Pro Rodeo, explains more.
Being a Pro Rodeo, it will be filled with professional rodeo athletes competing to make it to the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
On top of the entries contributing to the purse, there is an added $3,000 to the purse.
As part of this rodeo, they have the regular rodeo events, which Trotz explains.
On top of there being rodeo action, there will also be a dance and live music for people to enjoy.
The first Kananaskis Pro Rodeo occurred in 1983.
If you are wanting to attend, get tickets early, because Trotz says it fills up fast.
There will also be a pancake breakfast on the Saturday morning.
On top of that, all money raised during the rodeo will stay within the community.
